The Adobe Ranch offers panoramic views and miles of private creek and pond trout fishing.

Greenbridges acquired the Adobe Ranch in 2003 and has been actively managing it since. The property consists of 3,750 acres in both the high country and the Adobe Valley located in Mono County between Mammoth Lakes and Mono Lake. It is uniquely surrounded by hundreds of square miles of wild public land between the Sierras and the White Mountains.

Located in the Eastern Sierra foothills

The Adobe Ranch is close to Mammoth Lakes and Mono Lake, and is surrounded by miles of protected public lands.

Greenbridges is currently transferring nearly 1,000 acres of the ranch into public ownership to insure that important high country wetland, wet meadow, upland and riparian habitat is conserved and that the landscape is not fragmented by haphazard development. We are also busy restoring and protecting 1,500 acres of mixed riparian, wetland and upland areas via a conservation easement. Greenbridges is working to implement additional restoration efforts in cooperation with the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and Agrarian Research & Management Company LTD. These efforts include restoration of the existing pond and stream bed, improving wildlife habitat, and revised livestock management. Furthermore, Greenbridges and PRBO Conservation Science completed a baseline ecological survey in 2004 that, together with ongoing surveys, will provide the scientific basis for adaptively managing the restoration and operation of the Adobe Ranch as a working ranch and recreational property in the years ahead.

The Adobe Ranch includes a wide variety of landscapes and habitat, ranging from the sage grasslands and irrigated meadows of the Adobe Valley to the riparian corridors, Jeffrey pine forests and aspen stands of the canyons and high country above. The ranch presents tremendous opportunities for recreation, including hiking, hunting, and fishing. The Adobe Reservoir offers superb Native German Brown trout fishing, free of whirling disease, below beautiful red rock cliffs.
